Sean is a partner with the firm. Sean joined Boswell & Dunlap simultaneously with the creation of this latest chapter in the firm’s history, on April 1, 1998. His practice includes representation of local governments, real estate law, and civil litigation.
Sean currently serves as the City Attorney for the City of Bartow, a position he has held since 2008. He also serves in a variety of roles with Polk County Public Schools. Specifically, he has provided representation to the Superintendent of Schools in matters related to student discipline for over 20 years. The representation of government clients has provided significant experience in both civil litigation and administrative proceedings. Sean also has an active real estate practice, with a focus primarily on residential purchase/sale and refinance transactions. He is an agent of the Attorneys Title Fund Services, LLC (The FUND). Sean also has litigation experience in both State and Federal courts.
Sean is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, as well as the Federal District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, the United States 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
Sean attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate studies, earning a B.A. in Criminology in 1993. He then earned his J.D., with honors, from Stetson University College of Law in 1997.
Sean is a native of Lakeland and continues to call Polk County his home, residing in Bartow with his wife, Kelly, and their three sons.
