Drew is an associate attorney with the firm.  He concentrates his law practice on government operations and relations, commercial real estate transactions, federal litigation and appellate remedies.  Drew currently serves as the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Lake Alfred, Florida and as the legal advisor to the Planning and Zoning Board for the Town of Dundee, Florida.  Drew has extensive experience in handling and litigating records requests under Florida's public records laws, defending governmental clients in extraordinary writs litigation, drafting and negotiating construction contracts for public projects and ensuring proper enactment of land use amendments, zoning ordinances and land development regulations under Florida's growth management statutes.  Drew also has significant experience defending Florida school districts in federal civil rights cases at both trial and appellate levels.

Prior to joining Boswell & Dunlap, Drew was an assistant public defender for the Second Judicial Circuit of Florida in Tallahassee. Before he entered public service, he practiced employment law with a small plaintiffs' boutique. He also clerked for a large nationwide law firm and the Florida House of Representatives during law school.

Drew is a member of the Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, the Lakeland Bar Association and the Willson American Inn of Court. He is admitted to practice law in all Florida state courts, the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court.

Drew did his undergraduate work at Clemson University earning his B.S., magna cum laude with departmental honors in Computer Science in 1999. He earned his J.D., with honors, from Florida State University in 2002. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Delta Phi, and Upsilon Pi Epsilon. Drew is also active in the Clemson and FSU Alumni Associations.

Drew is a native of Bartow, a fifth generation Polk Countian, and an eighth generation Floridian.
